This is just...so great! Back in 1999,
Sony hosted a live event to celebrate the release of
Um Jammer Lammy, the pseudo-sequel to the
PS1 hit
Parappa The Rapper. The event took place in New York City and featured live performances of many of the wacky songs from the games. Being a huge fan of both Parappa and Lammy I had heard that this event had taken place, and over the years had tried unsuccessfully to locate video of the event online. Now, some 17 years later, series creator Masaya Matsuura posted video of the full concert and it's just glorious. If you have any love for Parappa, Lammy, or the strange and wonderful tunes featured in their games, you just have to see this.
